Effect of alloying elements on 9Ni steel plate
C -- carbide precipitation will cause pitting, generally controlled at <0.08%;
Mn- austenitic phase stabilization element, improve wear resistance and nitrogen solid capacity;
Si-- helps to resist high temperature oxidation and acid corrosion;
Ni- Stabilizes the element, reduces brittleness and improves mechanical properties, enhancing acid resistance.
9Ni steel plates can issue naturalization inspection reports of classification societies such as CCS, ABS, DNV, LR, NK, BV, KR, etc.
9Ni steel plate has a number of applications in ship construction, mainly including the following aspects:
1. Hull structure: 9Ni steel plate can be used for the structural components of the hull, such as the shell plate, deck, bulkhead, etc. Due to the high strength and good toughness of 9% nickel steel, it can provide good structural strength and seismic performance.
